What a mess of rolling scooter disaster! Not to mention being a distracting menace of a hazard to the other motorists, as well as the rider him-, or herself.

It’s one thing to celebrate the triumph of human ingenuity and technology; and then there is this basket-full of excess and “I really wanna stay-in-touch-with-it-all-ness”!

Someone did it with an otherwise beautiful red Vespa and walked away with a “Best Modern” at the Amerivespa 2007 in Seattle. It caused a scandal then. Hated it. This current version–hate it, too.

Let’s stick it to riding; not pimping.

and no blue tooth helmet headset?

i thought the alternator on these things wouldnt be enough to run a inverter big enough to power all these items?

Cool, but thoroughly useless setup. Would anybody actually park that scooter on the street, and sit there using the computer ? Surely couldn’t use it in motion. Would be much better to transfer the equipment to an enclosed vehicle of some type.

Hey Jared, how many amps does all that stuff draw? Post some stats!

I see the 160 watt PSU (the website says it outputs up to 8 amps). I don’t imagine the existing electrical system/battery running something like that for very long……….

Thanks for an informative article. I was surprised by one thing: I’ve never come across the ‘[SWF(…’ metatag before. I’ve scoured the documentation but I can’t see where I missed it. Is this undocumented, or is there some particular document that I have overlooked?

I would agree with this point other than the fact that you could buy a PC, customize your hardware and get a $1,000 suite of the best sound editing tools for the same price as the Mac.

Wait… are you comparing platforms, operating systems, or software? And is this base software or third party software? And then are you comparing base installs or vendor provided add-ons? What versions of windows are you comparing with; vista business has limited capability for instance. Very confusing arguments…

Check this app out for image viewing. It’s far more enhanced then the basic installed viewers and can stitch panoramic shots together very nicely.

Ya know… Multi / Virtual desktop support has been around since windows xp right? Between Microsoft constantly releasing “power toys” for their operating systems and third party vendors offering open source apps… well… you should check around…

Pretty cool — thanks for the post…

I’m looking to build a relatively cheap soundproof booth to play my drums…it would have to be slightly bigger in size than the one you built, but do you think it’d work? That is using the plywood & sound proofing material. Have you tired to play a drum (or something that you bang on similar to drums that would be loud and have the equivalent “shock wave” ) in this soundbooth yet? And if so, did it muffle the sound?

    thanks again!

The first mouse apparently hasn’t seen the momentum scrolling of the MX Revolution which is actually even better because of the tactile feedback =D. The acrylic mouse however is very nice and I am currently looking for a source for a curved piece of acrylic, lol.

My ‘Guess’ for the iPhone giveaway was next Friday mid-day, long enough for apple to put together a coherent strategy and still short enough to make them seem quite reasonable.

There’s been a log of negative press about google recently. My own impression of them has always been very positive. They provide us with well-made software for free, and help us sort through vast amounts of information. They have some of the very brightest minds in the industry working on these things.

One can’t help but wonder, however, whether or not the hold on the industry, and on our information could/would be used for evil intent. This is definitely a reassuring gesture, because of the financial implications, and their decision to push forward regardless. -B
