ThoughtLab is seeking a full-time Project Manager with boundless gumption who can take charge and handle any situation thrown their way and stay cool as a cucumber while doing it.

What a ThoughtLab Project Manager Does

As a Project Manager for ThoughtLab, you will be responsible for overseeing the set-up, construction, implementation, and completion of various projects that may include: branding, websites, mobile apps, landing pages, and software & desktop applications. You will be the point person for our internal team on all the projects you lead. You will be a good communicator, well organized and assertive. This means that as one of our Project Manager, you will:

  • Act as a liaison between the account managers and internal teams
  • Determine scope of work/budget per project and update all internal stakeholders involved
  • Gather all necessary information from account managers before the construction of a project begins
  • Remain in constant contact with internal teams throughout the entire process of a project
  • Manage project timelines, resources and all final project deliverables
  • Ensure all tasks are being completed correctly and on-time during design, development and implementation
  • Act as the point person to help troubleshoot a variety issues brought up by the support staff or the client
  • Manage scope of projects and help account managers stay within scope
  • Be responsible for project billings, acquiring approval on estimates, estimate recaps and billing summaries for clients

What It Takes to be a ThoughtLab Project Manager

  • 4+ years professional agency or software project manager experience
  • Be extremely organized and able to prioritize different demands
  • Be able to drive projects forward, keeping multiple parallel projects on track
  • Be assertive and able to negotiate ongoing arrangements with team members while being able to maintain motivation and high morale
  • Have an appreciation for all aspects of website design, including graphic design, functionality, development and SEO
  • Experience in agile/scrum strongly preferred
  • Experience with Liquid Planner software preferred
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in project management or technical project leadership preferred
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Some travel may be required
